The Allergy Clinic of Sarasota, with its own CLIA-certified lab located in Sarasota, Florida, is a pioneering company in the Allergy and Immunology field. It is part of the Center for Integration in Ears, Nose Throat and Allergy.  Founded in 2020 by its Medical Director, Leonard A. Rubinstein, M.D., F.A.A.Oto-HNS/F, the Center has promoted the integration of a holistic approach to the diagnosis treatment of allergy disorders over the past 27 years.

While conventional allergists continue to promote painful and confusing skin scratch or prick tests, the Allergy Clinic of Sarasota has developed a protocol for the diagnosis and treatment of allergy that integrates the Science of the West with the Wisdom of the East and complements conventional western allopathic protocols with oriental medicine, homeopathy, and energetic medicine.  At the Center, allergy is diagnosed with a simple blood test without the need for skin scratch testing and treatments are provided with tailor-made allergy desensitization sublingual drops administered by the patient under the tongue daily without the need for allergy shots.

As such, after completing his Allopathic Medical training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (now Drexel University College of Medicine), his Internal Medicine and General Surgical Residency years, and his specialty training in Otorhinolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, he pursued further training in Body Contour Cosmetic Surgery and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in addition to becoming a Fellow of the American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Rubinstein then obtained further training in Homeopathic Medicine in Germany and Oriental Medicine in China.  He is a Diplomat of the International Board of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery and a Diplomat of the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Rubinstein is a sought-after speaker as faculty of numerous medical meetings worldwide. Dr. Rubinstein’s office practice and teaching includes a merging of Allopathy, Homeopathy, Osteopathy, and Oriental Medicine into virtually every aspect of the care of patients.

In his private practice of Allergy, Dr. Rubinstein has promoted the embracing of this modern alternative to skin prick allergy testing called in-vitro allergen-specific allergy testing and the use of sublingual allergy drops as his choice for allergy desensitization treatment in place of allergy shots, a practice commonly used in the U.S. for over 45 years and the more common approach to allergy treatment in southern Europe.
